Private balcony
Although the apartment is on the first floor there are no internal stairs to climb to reach it because access is via 4 steps from the drive on to the sloping path through the garden with handrail, then 4 steps to the balcony.
The balcony spans the area between the house and the Lakeland bedrock bank at the back of the house. 120 square feet or 11 square meters in size it makes a lovely 'sun trap'.
With an outside light, table and chairs it's an ideal place to sit and relax with your meal, a drink, book or simply for a chat. From the balcony you walk through the French doors into your spacious and comfortable lounge.
The balcony steps are new and we are going to replace the fencing with stainless steel and glass balustrade when there is an appropriate space between lets to allow us to complete the work.
The steps leading from the garden to the balcony has a hand rail. The steps have rubber matting on them.
Relax with a drink and watch the world go by.
